Staff correspondent: The BUET Physics Alumni Association (FAB) organized a human chain to protest the inhumane and barbaric attacks by Israeli forces on innocent civilians in Gaza, Palestine.

The event took place on Wednesday (April 16, 2025) at noon in front of the Central Shaheed Minar. FAB’s President, Professor Dr. Mohammad Hamidur Rahman Khan, General Secretary Dr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam Khan, Vice Presidents Dr. Farhad Alam and Professor Dr. Tamanna Afroz, Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohammad Zillur Rahman, along with other members of the association, were present at the event.

Professor Dr. Mohammad Hamidur Rahman Khan, the President of FAB, stated, “We strongly condemn the brutal attacks by Israel on the freedom-seeking people of Gaza. The genocide must stop, and a swift resolution must be ensured.”

Dr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam Khan, the General Secretary, added, “The indiscriminate destruction by Israel targeting women, children, hospitals, educational institutions, and shelters must end. World leaders must unite immediately to halt this aggression.”

The speakers further emphasized the need for the international community to take effective measures to stop the terrorist attacks on the Palestinian people and to stand by them with humanitarian aid.
