Jagannath University Representative:
The Habiganj District Student Welfare Council, an organization of students from Habiganj district studying at Jagannath University , has announced a 21-member partial committee for the new term.

In the newly declared committe Anamika Deb Purba, a student of the Music Department from the 2020–21 academic year, has been appointed as the President. Raju Ahmed Khan, a student of the Philosophy Department from the 2021–22 academic year, has been selected as the General Secretary.

On Saturday, April 12, the organization officially approved this one-year term for the newly formed Habiganj District Student Welfare Committee.

The committee was announced with approval from the Advisory Council members Abdul Mukit, Adil Ahmed, and Nazmul Hossain Mamun, and was published by the 2024–25 Executive Committee’s President, Shakir Ahmed, and General Secretary, Shah Nabil Hossain Tanim.

Other Key Appointments:

Vice Presidents: Joy Roy, Sorol Banerjee Hridoy, Kamrun Nahar, Tafhimur Rahman Khan, and Sparsha Dutta Sinthi.

Joint General Secretaries: Antor Adhikari, Md. Amir Uddin Mahmud Talukdar, Md. Shahjahan Mia, and Abdul Qadir Jilani.

Organizing Secretaries: Saidur Rahman Parvez, Ashiqur Rahman Shaon, and Sharmin Akter Klanti.

Office Secretary: Kamran Hossain.

Publicity Secretary: Pritom Das.

Finance Secretary: Rudro Bonik.

Hospitality Secretary: Akash Mia.

Literary Secretary: Akramul Islam.

Legal Affairs Secretary: Sourav Das.

Student Affairs Secretary: Poly Kairi Debadrita.

The committee has been instructed to complete its full formation within the next three months.

The Habiganj District Student Welfare Council at Jagannath University was founded on November 13, 2016, through the initiative of founding advisors Md. Abdur Rahim Kawsar and Md. Nurul Afsar.
