The prayer and Iftar gathering of the Public University Students’ Association of Jamalpur was organized on Saturday, March 29, at the premises of Government Asheq Mahmud College in Jamalpur.
The event, presided over by Md. Ziaur Rahman and anchored by Mahi Mostofa Nahin, saw participation from students of various public universities living in Jamalpur. Distinguished guests included the former Deputy Minister of Health of Bangladesh and Freedom Fighter Sirajul Haque, Managing Director of Hazrat Shahjalal (R.) Hospital Ashraful Islam Bulbul, and faculty members of Asheq Mahmud College.
Among the invited guests, Ashraful Islam Bulbul announced a 40% discount at Hazrat Shahjalal (R.) Hospital for any public university student from Jamalpur and their families. Additionally, he pledged to support the students in their various initiatives.
Freedom Fighter Sirajul Haque expressed his gratitude for the invitation to such a wonderful event. He emphasized the need for students and citizens to work together, particularly in light of the current political situation in the country, to rebuild Bangladesh based on the ideals of the Liberation War.
Md. Ziaur Rahman, the organization’s president, thanked the participating students and shared hopes for successfully organizing similar events in the future with everyone’s involvement. He also mentioned plans for hosting various seminars with the committee in the days ahead.
The organization’s senior vice president, Risat Rahman Swapno, stated that the association would soon present a roadmap for implementation, which would require collaboration between senior and junior members.
